有時候，我會想要戒掉搖滾樂，就像怕沒有咖啡喝或沒有菸抽一樣。簡言之，在一個沒有音樂的世界裡，跟從沒有3J或披頭四存在的世界一樣的死寂沉悶，在那樣的世界裡極有可能出現劇烈的頭痛和胃痛，然後四肢無力口吐白沫接著就死了，那樣很可悲吧。但，現在這個世界還沒有這麼悲慘。
當音樂從第一軌流露出來，這世界便是你自己的，只有你和音樂。
聽著聽著便想起還在中興念書的時候，夜晚曾經有一次獨自從男宿騎著鐵馬到烏日車站。那晚的夜空與其說看不清星星，還不如說連月亮都躲進混濁的空氣裡。只有郊外詭譎的寧靜，和城市的喧囂形成無法應付的錯覺。停在高鐵的烏日站外，看著龐然建築和暴力的怪手，那時很難想像這裡通車後會怎樣。
聽The Raveonettes很容易想到曾經，曾經的種種，還是我，都是這樣子的？
